Cosmetology
Cosmetology is one of the areas where there are enough reasons for patriotism. In general, specialists from Ukrainian, Baltic, and Russian schools have more advantages compared to cosmetologist specialists from other countries. The basic education of cosmetologists and massage therapists in health and beauty centers is radically different from classical education in world cosmetology. Nowhere in the world, except for the countries of the post-Soviet space, are there cosmetologists with a medical education - neither doctors nor nurses work in this field. Fundamental medical education allows a cosmetologist to see not only the surface of the cosmetic iceberg, but also to evaluate the problem as a whole, and approach its solution strategically (from the article by Tiina Orasmäe-Meder “The Open Door of World Cosmetology”) .
